Mommy & Me

8 6x6 Mommy & Me pages and that's not everything!

For this I used Bo Bunny's Mama-razie paper line (6x6 & 12x12), the stickers that go the trhat line and 3 Bo Bunny Double Dot papers.

My mom is normally hiding behind the camera, so I wanted to scrapbook some of the times that she has been in front of the camera (and with me).

These pictures are from:
~ swimming at the Edge
~ playing in the snow in the backyard
~ simply the 2 of us
~ pajama days
~ getting perms ("I want to be like mom")
~ scrapbooking crop
~ Disneyland
~ Santiago zoo
~ pizza picnic at a park in Duluth
~ Ouimet Canyon
~ the Hollywood sign
~ Sea World

Over a Year of Good Times

9 4x4 pages that show over a year of good times.
What each page is/means:
1) June 17, 2014 - Aiden and I biked to the Marina
2) Our nicknames for each other
3) September 27, 2014 - Our first time going biking together
4) "Thank you" is a part of our goodbye everyday
5) July 3, 2015 - Spontaneous date at the Marina
6) Instead of having a never ending "I love you more" battle that no one wins, we say "I just love you"
7) February 19, 2015 - Semi formal
 8) "Our song" (we don't really have A song - but this one has a lot of meaning to us)
9) June 9, 2015 - Hammarskjold's convocation where we were in our Band Shirt ready and waiting for the time that we (the Jazz Band) would play

Kingfisher

After 4 years of saying "I want to scrapbook my kingfisher trip" - I finally did!

In grade 7 my class spent 3 days and 2 night at kingfisher and this chipboard album displays the highlights.
1) My cabin's first fire and the first meal we cooked (and burned) over that fire.
2) My friend's mom "helping" us shovel snow.
3) The attempts at taking a photo of the people in our cabin.
4) Amber playing in the snow
5) The goofballs... P.S. In the first picture, Hannah has a pencil in her hat (pretending to be a unicorn).
6) The actives we did: snowshoeing and skiing
7) Eating s'mores by the big campfire
8) Everyone in my cabin
9) The grade 7 French Immersion Students of Ecole Gron Morgan, 2010-2011

First Day of School

2 years ago I went looking for all my first day of school pictures for a presentation I had to do in grade 9. Well, I found myself in the mood to scrapbook but I didn't know what to scrapbook... then I remembered the file on the computer that had these pictures.

I got to play around with some of the CTMH papers and embellishments while creating my second 12x12 page in quite a while. Every first day of school my mom has taken pictures of me, but this pose is the one that we make sure to always get. With this page, I present to you, myself in grade 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 & 8.

Marina Adventures

On Aiden's Birthday a handful of our friends went to Boston Pizza for dinner. Afterwards, we decided to go to the Marina. Me, being my mother's child, took about 120 pictures. Out of them all, this one is my favourite. You might ask "Is this posed? or was it just meant to be?" Well, it was a bit of both... Aiden was standing there and Parker was standing kind of beside and behind him. My mind thought "this would be a perfect picture if Parker was standing beside Aiden", so I asked Parker to move beside Aiden and I took the picture. These are the guys that know me best: my boyfriend and my best friend. Now I have a captured memory of the two of them in one beautiful picture. Of coarse, it wasn't enough to simply put the picture in a frame...

With help from my mom, I put together this 12x12 page of two of the most amazing guys I've ever met. I wanted paper that would go with the colours in the picture and of coarse my mom's collection of paper had the perfect paper line do to just that. I didn't want anything to distract from the picture, so I made the titles add to the picture and relate back to the picture, bringing the focus back to it. "Marina" tells you were the picture was taken and "Sleeping Giant" reminds you of what the boys are looking at. Over all, I love how it all came together and I must thank my mom for helping me do that. :)

Parker's Birthday Card

2 weeks late on my post but oh well. Earlier this month it was one of my best friends birthday. I almost forgot to make him a card, but once my mom reminded me, I was on the hunt for an idea. I have difficulty making a generic card, when I make a card it's normally for someone and made for that specific person. Well, I was trying to think of something that "screams" Parker. I couldn't think of anything, so I just started looking through stamps to try and spark an idea. Good thing I did because I missed the most obvious thing that Parker loves - COFFEE! (If you think you drink a lot of coffee, I can bet that Parker drinks more. I try to tell him that it's not good for him to drink that much coffee but he doesn't listen - boys...)

Anyways, the only coffee stamp sets I could find were very small, so I made him a 3x4 card. I've also had this idea to take this "netting" kind of thing and use ink to make a patterned background. I figured it would be perfect for this because it kinda looks like coffee beans - kinda. It's a very simply, small card but it has meaning, which is what I find important when I'm making cards for my friends.

1 Year Anniversary with Aiden

I found this paper pack quite a while ago and I put it aside knowing that this is what I wanted to do with it. The paper pack had paper with bikes - something Aiden and I both enjoy - and a quote from the song You Are My Sunshine - which is "Our Song". All I know when I started was that I wanted those 2 elements in my card and eventually I found something that worked. Most people probably won't notice this, but the cloud paper on the outside is grey and the cloud paper on the inside is blue - showing that with each other grey skies turn to blue (Yes, I know that is cheesy, but I don't care, it's true). Finally, their is the "05.13" which is our anniversary; May 13th.

Aiden's Birthday Card

My guitar playing boyfriend is 17 today. His favourite colours are blue & sea-foam green. There is no definite colour for sea-foam green and I used 2 variations of it for this card. Aiden takes every chance he gets to play his guitar, so I figured it would be appropriate to base his birthday card on that. I printed off a guitar silhouette from the internet and cut it out so I could make everything else go around it. I stamped out the music note pattern and the "Happy Birthday" is in a paper guitar pick.

For this card, I used:
• CTMH - Glacier & Juniper paper and ick
• CTMH "Happy Birthday" stamp from Holiday Tags Occasions
• "You" & "Rock" I get from a stamp set from mftstamps.com
• The music notes and staff stamp was from a different stamp set from mftstamps.com

Semi-Formal 12x12 Layout

Semi was on February 19, 2015 and it was a night to remember. Aiden picked me up (but came early for pictures), then there was dinner, photo booth pictures and lots and lots of dancing.

Yesterday this idea popped into my head and I just had to do it. I knew how I wanted the pictures, I just needed to find the right paper. With my mom's help, I found the perfect paper from Close To My Heart. Once the pictures were in place, the top of the page had spaces that I didn't like and I thought about putting in journal boxes. However, there wasn't a lot to say, these were the photos that my mom took of Aiden & I before Semi-Formal. So, the title: Semi 2015, was good enough, but if I would have done journal boxes they probably would have said something like this:

Aiden & Amy, all dressed up for Semi-Formal. Luckily, there was only 1 camera they needed to face, instead of 2. All these photos are posed except the middle one at the bottom. That one unique photo shows: Amy trying to kiss Aiden and him avoiding her red lipstick.

Caelan's Valentine's Day Card

Caelan is one of my best friends and she moved away in the summer. I really wish she was back here but since she isn't here with us, I'm always catching her up on what's going on here. And I always send her cards to remind her that I'm always here for her.

I used many different stamp sets for all the different patterns of the hearts. It was a bit of a mess afterwards but I love how the card turned out.

Aiden's Valentine's Day Card

Aiden and I make jokes about me being him little nerds, so when I saw this stamp set i thought it would be the perfect time to make the joke that he is my nerd.

As well, Aiden is known in our group of friends as the person with all the "bad" puns and jokes. So adding the pun of "talk nerdy to me" was perfect, he even made a comment about that when I gave it to him.

LD application

Here is my LD application for NWOSSSA. NWOSSSA is a leadership organisation, completely run by high school students. We have a 4 day conference in May, and there are different "jobs" do be done at conference, so this is my application for the position of LD. Our theme for this years conference is Nautical, so i that them and put it into my application. I decorated the 2 sides of my "fish bowl" and I put all my answers to their questions on fish, which are attached to string with a tag putting them in order.

I am a LD this year, and I am very much excited.
