Aiden's Christmas Card

I really liked making this Christmas card because I had some ideas but i did really know what exactly i wanted to do. Everything just kinda came together as I went along. In my house there has always been a mistletoe and for as long as I can remember I've wanted to have a kiss under the mistletoe with someone special, this year, my dream came true and I was able to incorporate that onto the front and in the inside of the card. Aiden and I want to build a snowman together (once we have enough snow), therefor, the reason for the snowman on the inside. There are more little stories for this card, but I won't bore you with them all. However I will say that, all together this card ended up perfect.

Caelan's 16th Birthday Card

Caelan is another one of my best friends, who's birthday was November 21 (same as Drue). Caelan moved to a city near Seattle, Washington this summer, and I miss her a lot.

Even thought she moved, she was still getting an birthday card from me, I mailed it out to her a few weeks ago.

She loves music and she plays the flute, so i figured this circut cut out was appropriate for her card.

Drue's 16th Birthday Card

Drue is one of my best friends and she loves  to read, so i thought immediately of this Kraft 'n' Kimmy stamp. I coloured the image with these Copic makers: E35, BG05, BG07, N3, N5, N7, C4, C5, C6, C7, G05, RV09, E47, E44, E43, E00, Y04.

I used Sn@p Life and Sn@p Just the Basics 6x6 paper packs, CTMH: Perfect Fit Birthday Occasions for "Birthday", CTMH: Banner Wishes Occasions for "Happy", CTMH: Chocolate Cardstock, And the paper bow is a cut out from CTMH's circut cartridge: Artist.

Yesterday was her birthday, and we had a PA day, so i took her to go see Mocking Jay Part 1.

Ella's Birthday Card

Ella is my boyfriend's little sister. And I was invited over for dinner to celebrate Ella's 7th birthday. She is so cute and to me it's kinda like have a little sister of my own. I wasn't the "girliest" of girls when I was younger, so I never really went shopping for pretty dresses, had tea parties, etc. However, with Ella, I had my very first tea party and I got to go out shopping to get her a pretty dress for her birthday. I miss my days of being 7, but hanging out with Ella brings me back to those days of drawing, colouring and watching TV reruns.

She is a little ray of sunshine, which was why I had to use the new CTMH Rain or Shine Occasions stamp set.

6 Month Anniversary with Aiden

People might think I'm going over board for a 6 month anniversary gift, but to me, this means a lot. November 13th, 2014 marks the 6 month anniversary of me, Amy Jean Digby and my boyfriend, Edward Aiden Code.

Aiden loves bikes and biking, so do I but not as much as him. He is part of the school cycling team and he volunteers regularly with Bicycles for Humanity (I've volunteered their with him a few times). And this summer, he built me a new bike. So, for his card and gift I knew that there was a bike on the CTMH "Artfully Sent" circut cartridge that i wanted to use. Then, I found out that there was a "two person bike" patterned paper in the paper pack I had just gotten, so I obviously I had to use that.

In the same paper pack, there was a paper with "I just love you" repeated in rectangles. When I saw that I was so excited - it's kinda cheesy but Aiden and I get into "I love you more" fights, then one time one of us said "I just love you" and now if it get to the point where our "I love you more" fight is going nowhere, one of us says "I just love you". You can't really tell in the picture but the paper going around the tin with the "two person bike" patterned paper is the "i just love you" patterned paper.

The inside of the lid for the tin has the title and reason I made the tin. I cut out hearts and wrote things I love about Aiden on them, and put them all in the tin.

Finally, there is the basket that has individually wrapped mini banana loafs in it (normal and chocolate chip). In my house, I do the baking and whenever we get bananas there always seems to be 3 that kick around and no one eats them (hinting at me to make banana loaf - the recipe calls for 3 bananas). Well, one of the times Aiden was over, mommy had come downstairs to get a tea bag and made some kind of comment that she would like some banana loaf (again, hinting at me to make banana loaf). Then Aiden said: "I would love some banana loaf". (He of coarse did not know what my mom was trying to get at with her comment about banana loaf.) So, I did a face-palm, shook my head and laughed, while my mom looked at me, chuckled and said "see, even Aiden would like some banana loaf". Then, of coarse, mommy and I explained to Aiden that my mom was hinting at me that we had bananas ready to make banana loaf. And with mom reminding me of that moment, I made him banana loaf for part of my anniversary gift to him.

Donald's 16th Birthday Card

Donald has been one of my best friends for about 5-6 years and November 3rd was he's 16th Birthday.

For this card I used:
Stamps: Stampin' Up - Gorgeous Grunge - splatter
CTMH - You Are my Happy Icons & Sentiments - the 2 quotes
CTMH - Holiday Tags Occasions - "birthday"
CTMH - Framework Alphabet - "happy"
CTMH - Magical Days Holiday - "16"
CTMH - Countdown - "♥ ♥ ♥"
Paper: CTMH - Whisper, Cranberry, Outdoor Denim, Lagoon and Sunset
Ink: CTMH - Slate, Cranberry, Outdoor Denim
Cut outs: Spellbinder - oval
CTMH - Cricut Art Philosophy - flags
Other: Sizzix - embossing folder
CTMH - Lagoon Brads
Twine & Distressing tools

I knew that I wanted to use the flags on this card for the "happy", and when i found the quote that's on the front of the card, i thought that it fit the two of us perfectly. And of coarse, as many of my cards have, there ware some helpful ideas from mom that made it come together so perfectly.

Amy's Room

A while ago i realized that when I redid my room I didn't make a new "Amy's Room" sign to match. So i made this one. I love nature, and purple which gave me the starting point of what I wanted to do. Then, as I found things that were me and would work and added them like: the roses in the corners and the music notes to put in the tree with my favourite things.

For this I used:
• Different Echo Park's paper
• Circut cartridge: Heritage - the tree
• Circut cartridge: Type Candy Font - "Amy's Room"
• Circut cartridge: Quarter Note - music notes & roses
• Stampin' Up: Pen - Perfect Plum

My Guys

I was putting things up on my closet doors in my room and i found this picture, I had an idea of a page as soon as i saw it. So... I ran down stairs, pulled out the paper I knew I wanted to use and started to play with the papers and my idea. A little after an hour later, here I am making my blog post.

I used: Bo Bunny Paper, old Stampin' Up ribbon, and the Jasmine Cricut cartridge.

My Boyfriend and my Best Friend. They get along way too well, the two of them have their "bromance" and I find myself fighting with Donald a lot over who is dating Aiden; me or him. Aiden is no help, he just says "You two can share me". I always seem to be stuck between the two of them, literally; sitting, standing, hugging, etc.

Nathan's Grad Card

This card is my first ever graduation card, and I think it came out pretty well. I know quite a few graduates but i've only really gotten to know 1 of them, and that's Nathan. We were both on the wrestling team, we always bug each other and we have gotten to be really great friends. He actually asked me to go to his Grad Dinner & Dance with him (which is tonight) and I just had to make him a card.

Our school colours are Red and Gold, so of course I had to us those colours. The grad cap and the diploma were cut out on the cricut machine. As for the "congrats" and the quote on the inside, that is not a stamp! It is my calligraphy (and I'm really happy it actually turned out well).

The quote I thought was prefect sience he and I both love wrestling and I also thought it was great for graduation because people think of graduation as "when you start living your own life".

Finally, knowing some of the people that follow my blog, you are probably wondering why it says "(Kitten)". Well...he gave me that nickname in wrestling: one of the times we were wrestling I accidentally scratched him. And after that he called me kitten, it used to make me mad, but now I've gotten used to it. After going through his Facebook, I found a picture of Nathan with a cowboy hat, so I call him Cowboy.

He is coming here to take pictures (mommy's request) and I have Cat ears and he has a Cowboy hat. There will be some cute pictures, and some weird looks when we go to the dinner & dance. :)

My Mom's Mother's Day Card

Here is the Mother's Day card I made for my picture taking Mother.

I fond this quote and fell in love with it, and so did my mom. So I hand wrote it on her card:
Life is like a camera...
Focus, on what's important,
Capture, the good times,
Develop, from the negatives,
And if things don't work out,
Take another SHOT!

For this card I used:
• BoBunny - mama-razzi2 12 by 12 & 6 by 6 paper
• Stampin' Up - Wonderful Mother - "Happy Mother's Day!"
• CTMH - Sightseer Everyday Life - camera
• CTMH - Take Note Cricut Bundle - camera film & note paper
• CTMH - Artbooking - note paper cut out
• CTMH - Cardstock - black
• Memento ink - black
• Zig pen - black

Jessica's 16th Birthday Card

Cruising at 16!

I am so glad that Jessica's birthday is at the beginning of the year because I've been dying to play with the driving Kraft'n'Kimmy. (Most of my friends' birthdays are in October and November.)

I used these copics to colour the girl that's driving in style: E35, BG05, Y04, BG07, N3, N5, N7, C4, C5, C6, C7, G05, RV09, E47, E44, E43, E00.

Spencer's Valentine's Day Card

As soon as I saw this paper line, I know I'd be using it for my (ex) boyfriend's Valentine's Day card. I thought the sheet music with hearts was perfect, since we are both in the Strings class together, at school; I play Violin and will be learning the Viola in a couple weeks and Spencer plays Viola.

On this card I used Bo Bunny's Love Letters Journal 12 by 12 and 6 by 6 paper line. I also used Close to my Heart's Juniper Cardstock, Cocoa ink, Sweet Music Everyday life (stamp set), and Whooo's Your Valentine Constant Campaign NPM (stamp set). From Stampin' Up I used Occasions Alphabet (stamp set), and Early Espresso pen.

P.S. typed this up when we were still dating, just didn't have the picture on the computer. I love the way the card turned out, but this kind of an awkward post for me.

Caelan's 15th Birthday card

I was so excited to make this card. Most of my girlfriends are tom boys, so i don't get to make all that many girly cards. (When i do it's for my friend, Shyla, but i make cards specifically for her.) I've always loved the mermaids from Kraft 'n' Kimmy, and I finally got us one. Girly cards are so much fun (and kinda easier). I had so much fun with this card, and i love how it turned out.
Caelan has never gotten one of my cards. She has seen my binder covers, and my artsy school projects, but never one of my cards. She loved it and was so amazed (but not surprised. lol.)

Drue's 15th Birthday card

When I saw this Close to my Heart stamp set, I thought of the quote from Harry Potter. My best friend Drue loves Harry Potter, So i thought it would be the perfect card for her.
